So here's my process for copyedits. First, I scan through and look at solely the changes the copyeditor suggests, to determine if I approve of them or not or agree a change is needed, but tweak the suggestion. Then I go through and address any final content changes I already discussed with my developmental editor to insert during the copyedit phase. Then I print out and read the entire novel as closely as possible looking for any technical or content errors. Then, depending on my schedule, I do that last part again and again.
